Every ingredient is selected to be the best-in-class, optimal choice for each product - no matter the cost.
Chocolate - The chocolate is chosen for its higher cocoa butter content. For example, did you know that most "white chocolate" contains no cocoa butter at all? How is that even chocolate? Also, did you know that almost all chocolate contains soy lecithin? Not at Aunt Mabel's. No soy here! Our chocolate has sunflower lecithin rather than soy. This is only one example of the mindful ingredient selection process.
Butter - Oh, the butter! High fat, European style butter.
Eggs - Organic, free-range eggs. From happy chickens, treated humanely.
Flour - At Aunt Mabel's we make our own proprietary blend of gluten-free flour with two ingredients: Almonds, Oats. And not just any oats, Organic, Non-GMO, Sprouted Oats. Most "gluten-free flours" are a mixture of rice flour, tapioca starch, millet, potato starch, potato flour, and xanthan gum. Millet is a cheap filler used in bird seed blends. Rice, tapioca, and potato starches - more cheap fillers.
Nuts - Premium select nuts. Not, nut fragments. We use, for example, whole macadamia nuts and pecan halves.
Sugar - Pure cane sugar.
Vanilla - Real vanilla.
Baking Powder - Yes, even the baking powder is special. Most baking powder contains aluminum. Not here. Not ever. Aunt Mabel's cookies are made with Non-GMO, Aluminum- Free baking powder.
Salt - Sea Salt.
