Who is "Aunt Mabel"?
"Aunt Mabel" (born 1905) was Mary's great, great aunt who lived to age 95.
Aunt Mabel, a nurse, was both frugal and health conscious. She lovingly made everything fresh and from scratch, with no preservatives or high fructose corn syrup. Her fudge was famous. It was referred to as "Aunt Mabel's Fudge", and everyone knew it was the best. Aunt Mabel shared her recipe with Mary's mother who began making small batches for special treats in the 1960's, and Mary picked up the fudge making role starting in the 1980's.
In 2018, Mary started Aunt Mabel's Fudge Co., and made this famous fudge available to more than only those who held a special place on her holiday fudge list. Today it is still made with love and great care in small batches with the highest quality ingredients, all natural, no preservatives and never, ever high fructose corn syrup.
Thanks, Aunt Mabel!
I miss you and Mom and Jackie every day!
- Love, Mary
